This unique pair of nature inspired pure silver earrings began as aspen leaves I brought back from Colorado. They were created by hand painting the real leaves with 15 layers of silver, dried, kiln fired and finished. The earring wires are sterling silver.
A great gift for that nature lover or gardener.
LEAF PROCESS:
Intricate and realistic detailing of leaves can only be achieved through a process that is very much a labor of love. After finding a gorgeous leaf that has fallen off the tree, I bring it home and paint twelve layers of precious metal clay slip onto the leaf. I then fire it in the kiln to produce this gorgeous, nature-inspired fine silver (.999) leaf that can be cherished forever.
