Description
This nature-inspired fine silver necklace originated from a leaf I found on a hike while in Boulder, Colorado. It had such a beautiful shape, reminiscent of an aspen leaf, but I don’t think it is one. It made it home from my trip in the back of my phone case and is now immortalized in pure silver. It houses a CZ garnet and is finished on a sterling silver-plated chain with a beautiful leaf and flower toggle that measures about 24″
This would make a great gift for any nature lover or avid gardener.
LEAF PROCESS:
Organic objects such as leaves often make the most unique and stunning patterns. Intricate and realistic detailing of leaves can only be achieved through a process that is very much a labor of love. After finding a gorgeous leaf that has fallen off the tree, I bring it home and paint about fifteen layers of precious metal clay slip onto the leaf. I then fire it in the kiln to produce a gorgeous, nature-inspired fine silver (.999) leaf that can be cherished forever.
