Description
This leaf pendant was originally a real ginkgo leaf that had fallen from its tree. I preserved its memory in fine silver (.999) and adorned it with an amber cabochon. It is finished on a 16″ leather cord with sterling silver clasp.
This would make a great gift for any nature lover or avid gardener.
LEAF PROCESS:
Intricate and realistic detailing of leaves can only be achieved through a process that is very much a labor of love. After finding a gorgeous leaf that has fallen off the tree, I bring it home and paint twelve layers of precious metal clay slip onto the leaf. I then fire it in the kiln to produce this gorgeous, nature-inspired fine silver (.999) leaf that can be cherished forever.
