Description
This nature inspired pure silver necklace was originally a real ginkgo leaf that had fallen from its tree by these little ginkgo trees in the woods behind my house. It is adorned with a CZ garnet gemstone and a classic patina. It is finished with a sterling silver plated textured chain that measures about 25″ (can be made shorter upon request).
This would make a great gift for any nature lover or avid gardener.
LEAF PROCESS:
Intricate and realistic detailing of leaves can only be achieved through a process that is very much a labor of love. After finding a gorgeous leaf that has fallen off the tree, I bring it home and paint twelve layers of precious metal clay slip onto the leaf. I then fire it in the kiln to produce this gorgeous, nature-inspired fine silver (.999) leaf that can be cherished forever.
