Every season is beautiful, every day is something to savor, treasured for what it brings. In the summer we have wild mint that grows in our yard. It adds aromatic flavor to beverages and food as well as makes the house smell fresh.
These nature inspired fine silver (.999) earrings began as mint leaves from yard. And although these silver leaves don’t smell like mint anymore, they are reminders of those fun summer nights drinking tall glasses of mint juleps in the backyard as well as enjoying mint hot tea on a cold winter night. A great gift for that nature lover or gardener.
No two pendants are the same. Each is unique because they are created from a real leaf found on my journeys.
LEAF PROCESS:
Intricate and realistic detailing of leaves can only be achieved through a process that is very much a labor of love. After finding a gorgeous leaf that has fallen off the tree, I bring it home and paint twelve layers of precious metal clay slip onto the leaf. I then fire it in the kiln to produce this gorgeous, nature-inspired fine silver (.999) leaf that can be cherished forever.
