This fine silver (.999) fern leaf pendant symbolizes nature in all its glory. The fern leaf was hand painted so the true texture of the leaf is gorgeous. It is accented with natural colored agate gemstones – a layer of colorful larger below and a smaller layer of gray ones. They are pulled together with a leather strand that has a sterling silver slide on the back that makes it adjustable to the length you would prefer. You will get compliments on this one for sure!
LEAF PROCESS:
Intricate and realistic detailing of leaves can only be achieved through a process that is very much a labor of love. After finding a gorgeous leaf that has fallen off the tree, I bring it home and paint twelve layers of precious metal clay slip onto the leaf. I then fire it in the kiln to produce this gorgeous, nature-inspired fine silver (.999) leaf that can be cherished forever.
