Description
This nature inspired silver clay necklace with silver gingko leaf pendant was inspired by these little gingko trees in the woods. I picked this gingko leaf off the forest floor and hand painted 12 layers of fine silver (.999) on it and fired in the kiln to produce this gorgeous, nature-inspired silver gingko leaf pendant. The patina gives it a classic look and it is finished with a sterling silver oxidized chain that measures about 24″ (can be made shorter upon request).
This would make a great gift for any nature lover or avid gardener.
LEAF PROCESS:
Intricate and realistic detailing of leaves can only be achieved through a process that is very much a labor of love. After finding a gorgeous leaf that has fallen off the tree, I bring it home and paint twelve layers of precious metal clay slip onto the leaf. I then fire it in the kiln to produce this gorgeous, nature-inspired fine silver (.999) leaf that can be cherished forever.
