Description
This nature inspired, hand painted fine silver (.999) leaf pendant started from an actual leaf and is a constant reminder of my walks in the woods with my dog. It is finished on a lovely sterling silver oxidized textured chain that measures about 20″. A great every day piece and would make a nice gift for that nature lover friend.
LEAF PROCESS:
Intricate and realistic detailing of leaves can only be achieved through a process that is very much a labor of love. After finding a gorgeous leaf that has fallen off the tree, I bring it home and paint twelve layers of precious metal clay slip onto the leaf. I then fire it in the kiln to produce this gorgeous, nature-inspired fine silver (.999) leaf that can be cherished forever.
