CELEBRATE THE CIRCLE OF LIFE WITH THIS FINE SILVER LEAF NECKLACE
One day the bees were buzzing around the little white flowers on my seven sons tree, the butterflies were swarming on its leaves… I had to take a closer look. While trying to avoid the bees, I noticed its leaves were very unique. Instead of one vein running down the center of the leaf, there are 3. I had never seen a leaf like that and I knew I had to create a fine silver necklace from them. A great statement and conversation piece that would make a nice gift for that nature lover or avid gardener friend.
No two pendants are the same. Each is unique because they are created from a real leaf found on my journeys.
LEAF PROCESS:
Organic objects such as leaves often make the most unique and stunning patterns. Intricate and realistic detailing of leaves can only be achieved through a process that is very much a labor of love. After finding a gorgeous leaf that has fallen off the tree, I bring it home and paint about fifteen layers of precious metal clay slip onto the leaf. I then fire it in the kiln to produce a gorgeous, nature-inspired fine silver (.999) leaf that can be cherished forever.
